The Weekend Fix – Christmas in July

No need for presents (or shoveling the sidewalk), this celebration is purely for fun. Break out the decorations and twinkle lights, keep cool with a mug of frozen eggnog and play some reindeer games. Santa hat optional.

Put on a fit and flare dress in Santa’s favorite color and get ready to get noticed. A studded shoulder bag and strappy sandals will add a little edge (and a lot of style).

Frozen Egg Nog

2 quart premade eggnog
½ cup rum
½ cup amaretto liqueur
Whipped cream
Cinnamon mixed with sugar

Pour eggnog into a bowl and place in freezer until frozen. Scoop half of the frozen eggnog and put into a blender pitcher. Add liquors and blend. Top with whipped cream and cinnamon mixture.

The holidays are usually spent playing games, and this party is no different. Guess the word on your card with clues from your friends before the timer runs out. You can even take videos of the hilarious guessing game in action.

A little bit dressed up, a little bit casual, this look is great for a party – no matter the month. A chambray button-up paired with cobalt blue shorts and flip-flops is simple and totally on-trend.

Our Stylist Loves Men's Chambray Shirts

Take the cool look of denim (but none of the bulk) and you’ve got the go-to pick for summer and fall: the chambray shirt. It’s soft and durable enough for everyday wear but fashion-forward enough to impress your dinner date. Add a pattern, like this subtle floral print, and instantly set yourself apart. Wear it with a tweed blazer and medium-wash jeans and you’ve got texture and style to spare.
